If you’re into Celtic punk ala The Pogues & Flogging Molly, then you might know that there’s a bit of a scene for such stuff in Australia, given the working culture and every-man’s penchant for getting pissed, it makes complete sense.
The Go Set out of sunny Australia make it here to Berlin, taking over Wild At Heart for the night, making us, nah, fuck it, forcing us to drink absurd amounts of dark rum and to bounce around off each other until someone hurts themselves and goes crying. Which is normally what happens, but it’s still fun until then.
This makes it their third EU tour so apparently people here like the material, and with the new EP Fallen Fortunes just out and in stores, there’s a bunch of new stuff there for their fans here in Berlin to check out. Here’s an old one from them, Portland 3-15 is the title…
Supporting on the night are The Roolettes out of the UK (previously, previously’er). They’re actually more in than out of Berlin, which is a pretty good thing for both them and their fans, and they have been gaining quite a few of them here of late after a few very decent gigs.
